J.D., Baylor University School of Law, 2006
I chose to practice bankruptcy and commercial litigation law because they are challenging and complex areas, and force me to keep learning everyday. Practicing bankruptcy law often allows me to help provide solutions to clients who feel as if they have run out of options.
What Is Your Approach to Practicing Law?
I strive to be professional and prepared, and to communicate clearly in order to find economical and creative ways to resolve disputes. I believe that being well prepared and thorough during the early stages of a case can ultimately save the client money. That's because this approach may lead to a prompt resolution of a case and will always lead to a well-prepared and persuasive trial presentation.
What Is Your Unique Contribution to Your Practice?
I enjoy negotiating settlements that surprise and please our clients. Judges and other practicing lawyers often praise my professional demeanor and the quality of my presentations.
Why Do You Like Living and Working in Colorado?
We really enjoy our neighbors and spending time in the mountains. A few years ago our family purchased a book outlining the 100 best camping spots in Colorado. We are working towards camping at each one of them with our children.
