David Wadsworth is a shareholder of Sender & Wasserman, P.C., with which he has been associated since 2003. Dave practices primarily in the area of bankruptcy law, with a focus on commercial matters and trustee representation.
In October of 2009, he was appointed to the panel of Chapter 7 trustees in Colorado by the United States Trustee. In such capacity, Dave oversees hundreds of Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases to look for abuse and liquidating assets for creditors.
As an attorney, Dave represents corporate Chapter 11 debtors-in-possession in matters ranging from simple liquidations to complex reorganizations. He has provided counsel in all facets of reorganizations, from case filing through plan confirmation.

In addition, he represents unsecured, secured and priority creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases, and consumer and non-consumer Chapter 7 debtors.
Dave's commercial clients come from a wide variety of industries, including hospitality, real estate, retail, construction, manufacturing, technology, health care, agriculture and mining.
Dave has litigated more than 100 adversary proceedings and tried multiple cases before each bankruptcy judge in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.
He has litigated and argued appeals before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. Dave also participates in the Faculty of Federal Advocates program, providing pro bono representation to low-income defendants in adversary proceedings.
Dave was born in Potsdam, New York in 1968. He received his B.A. from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1991 and earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder, Colorado in 2000. He was a published member and associate editor of the University of Colorado Law Review. Upon graduation, Dave clerked for Judge Daniel C. Hale in the Boulder County, Colorado District Court. Prior to joining Sender & Wasserman, P.C. he was an associate with Wells, Love & Scoby, LLC in Boulder.
